GibberLock / Privacy

GibberLock Privacy Notice

GibberLock encrypts and decrypts messages on your device. You decide what to save and what to share.

Effective date:
Publisher and data controller: Endrefi Szabolcs Csaba
Contact: szabi@movieaccountant.com

Local processing

GibberLock processes the text, passwords, key sets and files you choose to use within the application on your device. Text may contain personal information. The application does not automatically send your message content, passwords or key sets to the publisher.

Storage and backups

The application stores encrypted vaults and settings locally. Exported key sets and backup files are saved to locations you select. You control the storage, sharing and deletion of these files. Copies placed in cloud-synchronised folders may be processed by your cloud provider.

Uninstalling the application may remove application data but does not necessarily delete exported files, backups or cloud copies.

Copying, saving and locking

Copying text places it on the Windows clipboard. Saving decrypted text to a file creates a readable copy in the location you select. Locking the vault clears the plaintext fields but does not clear the clipboard or delete previously saved files.

Sharing and external services

GibberLock is not a messaging service. You choose how to transfer encrypted text and shared key sets. The email button prepares a message with the encrypted text in your email app; the Messenger button opens the service’s website. Windows sharing passes text or a file to the app you select. A local sharing file may be created for a long encrypted message. Clipboard use and data passed to other services are subject to the privacy policies of Windows and the services you choose.

Microsoft Store

GibberLock uses Microsoft Store services to check whether an active full application licence is available. The request does not contain your message, vault password or key set. The application does not request your Microsoft account password or payment card details. Microsoft processes Store account, purchase and licensing information under its own privacy statement.

Support

If you contact the publisher by email, your email address, correspondence and any attachments you provide will be processed to respond to your request. Please do not send passwords, secret key sets or confidential message content. You may contact the publisher to request access to or deletion of support correspondence, subject to applicable retention obligations.

The GibberLock website

This website does not ask for messages or keys and has no forms or visitor analytics code. This describes the website’s own features, not the hosting provider’s technical logs.
